La asociación entre el uso de pantallas y el desarrollo infantil: una revisión de literatura

El desarrollo infantil (DI) es imprescindible para la formación de um ciudadano más versátil y responsable. Algunos factores pueden influenciar positivamente y negativamente sobre el DI, basado en el mecanismo de plasticidade cerebral. El uso de pantallas entra como un factor negativo y el objetivo de este estudio fue analizar el uso de pantallas entre los niños y como esta práctica puede afectar el DI. En este estudio fue realizado una busca en las bases de datos National Center for Biotechnology Information (PubMed) y Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), por medio de las palabras-clave: “screen time” y “child development”, onde fueron encontrados 1648 artículos, y después de aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, 31 fueron usados. Los resultados obtenidos demostraran disturbios de el sueño, atrasos de el discurso y síntomas psicológicos y conductuais como los problemas más comúns desencadenados por el uso de pantallas. Los datos demostraran que el uso de medios electrónicos han sido progressivamente fomentado y exacerbado entre los niños, y que esta práctica es nociva para el DI, especialmente en los ámbitos de calidad de el sueño, de desarrollo de discurso y de el bienestar psicológico y comportamiental. Así, los padres y educadores deben rever sus hábitos de consumo digital, así como deben impulsar los niños a través de bromas sin pantallas, a fin de minimizar los daños generados por el tiempo excesivo de pantallas.
