Ultrasonografía en la Titulación de PEEP para Pacientes con SDRA: Una revisión narrativa

Resumen

Este estudio tiene como objetivo verificar, a través de una revisión narrativa, la importancia de la ecografía pulmonar en la elección de la Presión Positiva Final de Espiración (PEEP) ideal en pacientes con Síndrome de Dificultad Respiratoria Aguda (SDRA). Determinar con precisión el nivel de PEEP apropiado es esencial para optimizar el manejo del SDRA, equilibrar el reclutamiento pulmonar y mejorar la oxigenación sin causar efectos adversos. El artículo explora el papel de la ecografía pulmonar en la visualización dinámica de las estructuras pulmonares, lo que permite la evaluación en tiempo real de las condiciones pulmonares. Además, se discuten los métodos para determinar la PEEP y la correlación entre la ecografía pulmonar y la tomografía computarizada en la evaluación de la aireación pulmonar. Con base en la evidencia disponible, esta revisión sugiere que la ecografía pulmonar es una herramienta incipiente para guiar la elección de PEEP en pacientes con SDRA, contribuyendo a un enfoque más personalizado y eficaz para el tratamiento de estos pacientes. Pero debido a los pocos estudios realizados hasta la fecha, estudios multicéntricos y aleatorizados, es necesario realizar investigaciones.
