Agravación de las inequidades sociales en tiempos de pandemia: Revisión sistemática

Resumen

Objetivo: Analizar las desigualdades sociales en Brasil durante una emergencia sanitaria. Metodología: Se trata de una revisión sistemática que buscó estudios en las respectivas bases de datos como Pubmed, Scopus, Cinahl, Web of Science y The Cochrane Data Base, utilizando descriptores en inglés, seleccionados del Medical Subject Headings- MeSH. Inmediatamente después de la catalogación, los estudios se analizaron mediante el uso de Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) y la muestra del estudio estuvo compuesta por ocho artículos. Resultados: Los datos internacionales refuerzan que alrededor del 77% de la población mundial vive en familias que perdieron ingresos durante la pandemia y que las personas negras e hispanas tienen más probabilidades de hacerlo. En Brasil, en sus respectivas regiones, se observaron escenarios críticos, como, por ejemplo, en las regiones norte y noreste, falta de bienes y cuidados intensivos, excesiva burocracia en la regulación de camas, retraso en la adquisición de nuevas camas, baja Cobertura del servicio de alcantarillado. Conclusión: Las desigualdades sociales son evidentes como reflejo de las políticas sanitarias, sociales y económicas de un país.
