Contribuciones del Análisis de Comportamiento Aplicado (ABA) en el Trastorno del Espectro Autista: Una revisión integrativa

Resumen

El Análisis de Comportamiento Aplicado es un enfoque basado en los principios de la psicología del comportamiento. Se utiliza frecuentemente en el tratamiento de personas con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). En el contexto del TEA, el ABA se emplea para enseñar nuevas habilidades y reducir comportamientos desafiantes. Este estudio tiene como objetivo describir las contribuciones del Análisis de Comportamiento Aplicado en el tratamiento y en el desarrollo de habilidades psicosociales en individuos con Trastorno del Espectro Autista. Se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura de los últimos 10 años, en las bases de datos Science Direct, Scopus y Web Of Science utilizando los descriptores controlados "Applied Behavior Analysis", "Autism Spectrum Disorder", "Behavioral Therapy" y "Behavioral Intervention", cruzándolos con el operador booleano AND. Diecisiete artículos compusieron esta revisión, los cuales muestran resultados positivos para las intervenciones evaluadas. Sin embargo, es importante destacar que cada individuo con autismo tiene necesidades únicas y puede responder de manera diferente a diferentes enfoques. La elección de la intervención debe hacerse en consulta con profesionales calificados y tener en cuenta las necesidades específicas, preferencias y recursos de cada individuo. Es crucial continuar realizando investigaciones para desarrollar y evaluar nuevas intervenciones y mejorar los resultados para las personas autistas.
