Intercurrencias en lipoaspiración de papada: Una revisión narrativa

Resumen

La lipoaspiración de papada es una técnica estética popular para reducir la grasa en la zona submandibular, proporcionando contorno facial y rejuvenecimiento. Aunque es menos invasiva que las cirugías faciales, conlleva riesgos como edemas, infecciones y alteraciones de sensibilidad. Los estudios sobre complicaciones en la región submentual son escasos, a pesar de las características anatómicas que exigen técnica precisa y planificación cuidadosa. La alta demanda entre pacientes jóvenes requiere criterios rigurosos y consentimiento informado, además de protocolos posoperatorios adecuados. La revisión de complicaciones busca informar a los profesionales sobre riesgos y fomentar innovaciones para mejorar la seguridad. El objetivo de este estudio es revisar y discutir las principales intercurrencias asociadas a la lipoaspiración de papada, con un enfoque en las complicaciones intra y postoperatorias y en las medidas de prevención.
