Uso do L-PRF no tratamento de osteorradionecrose

A osteonecrose é uma patologia ocasionada pela necrose dos ossos gnáticos da maxila e mandíbula. Seja por meio de medicamentos antirreabsortivos, seja pela radioterapia. O L-PRF é um concentrado plaquetário composto por leucócitos e fatores de crescimento capazes de restaurar a vascularização e cicatrização de tecidos moles e duros. Além de ser o mais novo tratamento alternativo da osteonecrose. Visto isso, o trabalho objetifica-se em avaliar a eficácia do L-PRF na prevenção e tratamento da osteonecrose,e esclarecer os mecanismos desse concentrado plaquetário na osteonecrose de maxila e mandíbula, além de outras abordagens terapêuticas combinada com o L-PRF. Em relação a metodologia, é baseada em uma revisão de literatura com abordagem qualitativa, a qual usou as bases de dados PUBMED, Google Acadêmico, Medline e IBECS. Na pesquisa inicial, resultou em 377 artigos, após a aplicação dos filtros que se remetem a artigos publicados entre 2017 e 2022, gerou um total de 21 artigos escolhidos. Conforme na literatura, o L-PRF tem eficácia na osteonecrose, no entanto, apresenta divergências na literatura, como também pelo fato de não existir ainda um tratamento padrão-ouro. Portanto, o L-PRF é eficaz, mas não é padronizado ainda, ao passo que cada caso de osteonecrose tem sua peculiaridade. No entanto, quando combinado com outras formas de tratamentos, como a proteína morfogenética humana óssea (PMBs), o efeito sinérgico desses terapêuticos acelera o processo de cura do paciente.
