This is a quantitative research to find out if the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the type of food consumed by users of a primary health care unit of a certain population in the municipality of Mossoró-RN. The work was carried out in 5 stages: definition of the guiding question, definition of hypotheses, definition of the research instrument, data collection and analysis of the results obtained and comparison with other independent studies on changes in the dietary profile during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was verified that the pandemic may have had an unfavorable impact on the food consumption of the interviewed population, pointing out a eating behavior thatoffers health risks, contributing to the emergence of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
