Learning assessment, whether in face-to-face or online education, permeates teaching practice and student development during the educational process. This article aims to collaborate with discussions on the theme of learning assessment in the context of Online Education, reflecting on the use of the Canva Educacional application in the training environment. The research presents the following guiding question: How do students in an online course understand the assessment of learning through the Canva Educacional application? That said, the relevance of this technological artifact as a didactic strategy articulated to the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) in the educational environment is discussed. The methodology was based on the Case Study (Yin, 2015), with a qualitative and exploratory approach. As subjects, 12 students participated in an elective course offered in a Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGE), at the stricto sensu level, geographically located in a municipality in the Northeast of Brazil. Among the results obtained, the use of the Canva Educacional application stands out, as a didactic strategy, enabling subjects to develop, capture and share their ideas and creations visually, illustrating concepts from reading texts, contributing to meaningful and written learning collaboration of students in the online environment.
