The objective of this study was to analyze the scientific evidence on the occurrence of unplanned pregnancy between women registered in the family health strategy teams. This is an integrative review, where data collection occurred in the period from January to March 2021 through lilac databases, BDENF, IBECS and Digital SciELO library. It was used from the descriptors in Health Sciences: Pregnancy Unplanned, Contraception, Family Health Strategy and Family Planning, resulting in ten articles for the final sample. The presence of high indexes of unplanned pregnancy and intercurrences during pregnancy and postpartum was evidenced in pregnancy and postpartum as a result of non-pregnancy planning. It is concluded that the occurrence of unplanned pregnancy is still a very common condition in areas covered by the family health strategy. Thus, it is necessary to plan and redirect public policies and nursing practice aimed at guaranteeing the population's sexual and reproductive rights through the consolidation of the reproductive planning program.
