In the area of Health, there is an increasing search for working with patients in a more comprehensive pathway, considering the individual in all his social/physiological/mental and spiritual aspects. The selected methodology is based on an integrative literature review in the main scientific databases Scielo, LILACS and Pubmed, using the keywords “pharmaceuticals”, “religiosity”, “spirituality” and “patient care” as descriptors. until June 2021. The integration between religiosity/spirituality and the pharmacist's praxis, aiming at benefits for the sick, is a challenge for health promotion in the coming decades, which should be overcome from the expansion of research in this area. area with a view to opening the awareness of health professionals in relation to aspects that transcend the field of reason.
