Recomendación de vacunación y seguridad en pacientes con artritis reumatoide que utilizan tratamiento inmunosupresor

Introducción: La artritis reumatoide (AR) es una enfermedad autoinmune inflamatoria que a menudo se trata con fármacos inmunosupresores que están directamente relacionados con la aparición de manifestaciones oportunistas. Por tanto, la vacunación puede ser un medio de protección, pero se debe evaluar su seguridad y recomendación. Objetivo: Identificar la seguridad y recomendación de vacunación en pacientes en tratamiento con AR. Método: Revisión bibliográfica integrativa, desarrollada a partir de 11 artículos obtenidos de la base de datos PubMed®, y 3 artículos obtenidos de la biblioteca BVS en los que se utilizaron los mismos descriptores en Ciencias de la Salud, totalizando 14 trabajos analizados, se definió un marco temporal, contemplando artículos de los últimos 5 años. Resultados: Según los hallazgos, las principales vacunas recomendadas y seguras son el neumococo, la influenza, la hepatitis B, el virus del papiloma humano (VPH) y el herpes zóster. Sin embargo, se debe prestar atención a la interacción entre la vacuna y el fármaco, ya que esta relación puede dañar el rendimiento de la vacuna o incluso dañar al paciente. Conclusión: Con base en los estudios analizados, se concluye que la vacunación es generalmente recomendada y segura para personas con artritis reumatoide en tratamiento con inmunosupresores.
