Proceso educativo en Atención Farmacéutica y Síndrome Metabólico para la implementación de Servicios Clínicos Farmacéuticos en Atención Primaria de Salud

Resumen

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el conocimiento de los farmacéuticos sobre el Síndrome Metabólico (SM) y la Atención Farmacéutica antes y después de participar en un proceso de formación para la implementación de la farmacia clínica en las farmacias comunitarias y comprender la percepción de los farmacéuticos sobre el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Se trata de un estudio observacional descriptivo con abordaje cuali-cuantitativo realizado con farmacéuticos que trabajan en atención primaria de salud. Los datos demostraron un aumento en el nivel de conocimiento de los farmacéuticos después de la formación en farmacia clínica con énfasis en la SM. La encuesta también registró un aumento en el número de farmacéuticos con buen y muy buen desempeño, estando el mayor incremento relacionado con el contenido de Atención Farmacéutica. Estos resultados se asociaron a la percepción positiva de los farmacéuticos en cuanto a los conocimientos adquiridos sobre los temas estudiados y, también, en relación a los momentos de formación. El estudio encontró que el proceso educativo mejoró el conocimiento de los farmacéuticos sobre la SM y la atención farmacéutica, siendo entendido por ellos como esencial para el desarrollo de habilidades clínicas, además de ser relevante para la garantía continua del conocimiento de estos profesionales y su clínica y que también tiene el potencial de favorecer la implementación de servicios clínicos en farmacias comunitarias en un sistema de salud pública.
