Satisfacción y salud sexual de la población brasileña: impactos de la pandemia de COVID-19

El presente estudio investigó los factores asociados al impacto negativo de la pandemia de COVID19 en la vida sexual de la población brasileña. Se realizó un estudio transversal con la población brasileña adulta y sexualmente activa mediante una encuesta en línea. 807 adultos completaron cuestionarios sobre información socioeconómica, vida sexual, aspectos emocionales y aspectos del sueño durante el periodo de retraimiento social. La percepción de una vida sexual satisfactoria disminuyó en más de un 20% durante la pandemia en comparación con antes de la cuarentena, además de que el 73,4% de las personas experimentaron dolor o molestias durante o después del coito. Los aspectos relacionados con el sueño también tuvieron un impacto negativo en la vida sexual, ya que el 79,1% tuvo cambios en el patrón de sueño y la dificultad para conciliar el sueño o despertarse durante la noche con dificultad para volver a dormir representaron factores de riesgo para que su vida sexual se viera afectada. La percepción de la vida sexual de los individuos brasileños se vio afectada por el distanciamiento social durante la pandemia de COVID-19.
