Efecto del entrenamiento concurrente sobre la composición corporal y el perfil metabólico de las personas obesas: Una revisión sistemática

Resumen

Las diversas intervenciones de estilo de vida activo y ejercicio terapéutico se consideran la base para el manejo de la obesidad. El objetivo de este trabajo es comparar diferentes secuencias metodológicas de ensayos clínicos aleatorizados sobre entrenamiento de resistencia (ET) y fuerza (TF), entrenamiento interválico de alta intensidad (HIIT) y entrenamiento concurrente (CT) para mejorar la composición corporal e inducir respuestas fisiológicas. Se realizaron búsquedas en las bases de datos Web of Science, Pubmed, Science Direct de estudios que estudiaran los efectos de diferentes secuencias en entrenamiento concurrente sobre la composición corporal y adaptaciones fisiológicas de carácter metabólico, utilizando el arreglo descriptivo combinado elaborado para la búsqueda: (“Personas con obesidad” O “Sedentario”) Y “Composición corporal” Y “Entrenamiento concurrente” (“Resistencia” O “Fuerza” O “Adelgazante”). El rango de tiempo buscado en las bases de datos fue 2017-2022. La calidad de los estudios incluidos se evaluó mediante la herramienta de evaluación de riesgos del Manual Cochrane. Después de una búsqueda cuidadosa, se seleccionaron un total de 9 estudios aleatorizados y controlados. Los trabajos consultados reportaron que no hubo diferencia significativa en masa corporal, masa corporal magra e índice de masa corporal porcentual entre los grupos de ancianos; sin embargo, hubo una diferencia significativa en el porcentaje de grasa corporal entre los dos grupos de adultos jóvenes obesos y obesos sedentarios de varios grupos de edad y sexo. De esta forma, se concluye que la TC está indicada y es otra estrategia muy ventajosa para las intervenciones dirigidas a la pérdida de peso en jóvenes obesos.
