Resumen

Introducción: El entrenamiento de resistencia está bien establecido como una estrategia principal basada en el ejercicio de resistencia para producir un aumento de masa muscular en humanos. Objetivos: Investigar los efectos del fallo muscular concéntrico en el entrenamiento de resistencia de alta y baja intensidad en programas dirigidos a la hipertrofia. Métodos: El tipo de estudio a realizar en el presente trabajo fue una revisión sistemática, donde se prestó cuidadosa atención a los siguientes pasos: formulación de la pregunta orientadora; selección de estudios según año de publicación y título; selección de estudios por sus resúmenes y selección por el texto completo; y posteriormente, extracción de datos de los estudios incluidos; evaluación e interpretación de resultados y, finalmente, presentación de la revisión del conocimiento producido. Resultados. Discusión: la diversidad de conclusiones en los estudios comparados resalta la complejidad de la influencia del fallo muscular en el entrenamiento de fuerza. Estas diferencias se pueden atribuir a una serie de variables, como la intensidad, la población estudiada y la metodología del entrenamiento. Por lo tanto, la decisión de incorporar la falla muscular en un programa de entrenamiento debe tomarse considerando cuidadosamente el contexto y los objetivos individuales del practicante, considerando los conocimientos proporcionados por estos estudios. Conclusión: esta revisión presenta análisis integrales de los efectos de la falla muscular concéntrica en el entrenamiento de fuerza, considerando una variedad de diseños metodológicos estudiados. Así, destacamos la compleja relación entre el fallo muscular y la igualación entre volumen e intensidad del entrenamiento de fuerza.
