Agranulocitosis y Dipirona: Caso clínico con recidiva tras reexposición

Resumen

Introducción: La dipirona es un fármaco derivado de la pirazolona. Debido a sus efectos analgésicos y antipiréticos, su uso se ha generalizado en Brasil y se encuentra entre los diez fármacos más comercializados. Su asociación con la agranulocitosis se reconoce desde 1970, con una tasa de mortalidad de entre el 10 y el 16%. Objetivo y metodología: Se presenta un caso clínico de agranulocitosis secundaria a reexposición a dipirona con cuadro clínico y de laboratorio sugestivo. Conclusión: La anamnesis juega un papel crucial para establecer la relación temporal entre el uso del fármaco y la aparición de los signos y síntomas, con repercusión en el diagnóstico precoz y el manejo terapéutico adecuado para el pronóstico del paciente.
