Validez de criterio de la escala Maslach Burnout Inventory

El propósito de este estudio fue buscar evidencias de validad para una versión en portugués del Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey (MBI-ES) con base en su relación con variables psicológicas (sentido de la coherencia, resistencia, depresión y ansiedad) y sociodemográficas (sexo, nivel de educación escolar, estado civil, tener o no hijos, edad, formación, años de experiencia y número de hijos) en profesores mozambiqueños y brasileños. Fueron investigados 512 profesores de educación fundamental, 278 mozambiqueños y 234 brasileños. Las análisis de correlaciones indicaron relaciones negativas entre el burnout e el sentido de la coherencia y la resiliencia, e relaciones positivas con la depresión y la ansiedad. Para ambas las nacionalidades, fueron hallados diversos efectos de las variables sociodemográficas. Los resultados son compatibles con los encontrados en la literatura internacional y sirven como evidencias de validad para el MBI.
