Validade de critério da escala Maslach Burnout Inventory

Resumo

O propósito deste estudo foi buscar evidências de validade para uma versão em português do Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey (MBI-ES), com base em sua relação com variáveis psicológicas (senso de coerência, resiliência, depressão e ansiedade) e sociodemográficas (sexo, nível de ensino lecionado, estado civil, ter ou não filhos, idade, formação, anos de experiência e número de filhos) em professores moçambicanos e brasileiros. Foram investigados 512 professores do ensino fundamental, sendo 278 moçambicanos e 234 brasileiros. As análises de correlações indicam relações negativas entre o burnout e senso de coerência e resiliência e positivas com a depressão e ansiedade. Para ambas as nacionalidades, foram achados diversos efeitos das variáves sociodemográficas. Os resultados são compatíveis com os encontrados na literatura internacional e servem como evidências de validade para o MBI.
