Formación de identidad en el deporte: Una revisión sistemática

El objetivo de este estudio fue realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre la formación de la identidad en los atletas, incluidos los estudios de 1978 a 2014. Se evaluaron un total de 121 estudios y se informaron en tres secciones: características metodológicas de los estudios, variables asociadas con la identidad y principales soportes teóricos Las muestras de estudio variaron de 1 a 2000 participantes. Los estudios comprendieron una amplia gama de niveles y modalidades competitivas, en diferentes géneros y diversos métodos de investigación. Se clasificaron las variables asociadas con la identidad: cuestiones demográficas, ambiente moral, apoyo psicosocial, problemas de salud / lesiones, control de la vida, estado educativo, autopercepción, motivación, desarrollo personal / profesional, compromiso con el deporte, actitudes alimentarias, estrategias para afrontamiento, jubilación y agotamiento. Se discute el estado actual del área de estudio, las limitaciones y sugerencias para la práctica y la investigación futura.
