Tratamiento all-on-four en implantología: concepto y actualizaciones

Resumen

Introducción: la rehabilitación a través del tratamiento "all-on-four" maximiza el uso del hueso restante disponible en las mandíbulas atróficas. Objetivos: analizar el concepto de tratamiento "todo en cuatro" y sus actualizaciones, en base a temas quirúrgicos y protésicos. Metodología: se realizó una revisión de la literatura mediante la búsqueda de artículos científicos de los últimos 10 años, en la base de datos Pubmed. Los datos fueron analizados descriptivamente. Resultados: los estudios revelaron una tasa de supervivencia del 98,9%, angulaciones de los implantes que varían entre 30 y 45 grados. Esta técnica permite el uso máximo de la estructura ósea restante y evita procedimientos regenerativos para el paciente y es favorable en términos de calidad de vida. Conclusión: el tratamiento all-on-four en Implantología consiste en una técnica innovadora y efectiva con previsibilidad, con una alta tasa de éxito en las mandíbulas sin dientes.
