Curriculum básico en dermatología para el curso de medicina: una revisión narrativa

Resumen

La capacitación médica necesita encontrar un equilibrio entre el contenido que se incluirá en el plan de estudios, para que realmente beneficien la capacitación del médico. Nos dimos cuenta de que las quejas dermatológicas son quejas muy frecuentes entre los pacientes, no solo en Brasil sino en otros países. Aun así, hasta el momento, se le da poca importancia al enfoque que se le dará a los trastornos de la piel durante la graduación médica, y solo el 1% del tiempo de la graduación se dedicará a enseñar dermatología. Este artículo tiene como objetivo traer una revisión sobre la enseñanza de la dermatología en la graduación médica, que muestra cómo se está formando a los médicos en esta especialidad. La ruta metodológica consistió en buscar artículos de cinco bases de datos bibliográficas: PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Índice acumulativo de literatura de enfermería y salud aliada (CINAHL) y LILACS de 1971 a 2018, en portugués, inglés, español y alemán, con las palabras clave graduación médica, plan de estudios médico, plan de estudios básico de dermatología, contenido relevante en dermatología, combinado con las asociaciones y resultados de interés. Los artículos seleccionados se utilizaron para apoyar la redacción del contenido dermatológico relevante para la formación médica. Al final, se demostró cómo algunos países, incluido Estados Unidos, Australia y Suiza, organizan los contenidos de dermatología dentro de sus planes de estudios médicos y así brindar la capacitación de profesionales mejor preparados para trabajar en dermatologia.
