Níveis séricos de vitamina D em crianças e adolescentes com asma

Resumo

O objetivo da revisão foi verificar os níveis séricos de vitamina D em crianças e adolescentes com asma. O estudo trata-se de uma revisão do tipo integrativa, com 14 artigos selecionados nas bases de dados PubMed, ScienceDirect e BVS nos anos de 2013 a 2017. Os estudos analisados revelaram que indivíduos com asma apresentam em sua maioria deficiência ou insuficiência em níveis séricos de vitamina D. As crianças e adolescentes com asma apresentaram níveis de vitamina D inferior aos indivíduos saudáveis. Dessa forma, evidenciou-se que a vitamina D sérica foi inferior entre os asmáticos, com estudos demonstrando uma associação significativa entre os níveis da vitamina e a presença da patologia.
