Engajamento docente na Pandemia da COVID-19: a influência do suporte organizacional

Resumo

Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar a influência do suporte organizacional sobre o engajamento no trabalho durante a Pandemia da COVID-19. Foi realizada uma survey com docentes que atuam no ensino superior da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Como técnicas de análise, utilizou-se estatística descritiva, análise fatorial exploratória e regressão. Identifica-se que a adoção do modelo remoto gerou aumento nas demandas de trabalho, em que a maioria dos docentes manteve o foco apesar dos desafios quanto à manutenção de um estado de espírito positivo. O suporte organizacional oferecido pela instituição influência diretamente a capacidade do docente manter-se engajado nessa situação atípica e desafiadora. Assim, em contextos emergenciais, como a Pandemia da COVID-19, é fundamental que os gestores universitários disponibilizem mecanismos adequados de forma a proporcionar suporte organizacional necessário para que os docentes se mantenham engajados frente a mudanças drásticas e rápidas no contexto e forma do trabalho docente.
