Reimplante ou implante na avulsão dentária, o que mudou nesses últimos anos? Uma revisão narrativa

A avulsão dentária é uma das situações de urgência que pode influenciar na fisiologia mastigatória, questões estéticas e afetar a qualidade de vida do paciente. Para o tratamento deste infortúnio, pode-se indicar um reimplante ou implante dental. Objetivo: Diante da possibilidade de que novas práticas e ou evidências clínicas tenham surgido nestes últimos dez anos no emprego das técnicas de reimplante ou implante na avulsão dental traumática, a presente revisão narrativa propôs uma breve discussão, na perspectiva de contribuir para uma terapêutica mais eficiente e uma melhora da qualidade de vida do paciente. Metodologia: As estratégias de busca foram estruturadas a partir de MeSH terms/ e DeCS/MeSH terms, na base de dados da /PubMed, e busca manual, para os termos: Tooth avulsion, Traumatic dental injury; Tooth replantation, Dental implantation. Foram incluídos os artigos, acessíveis na íntegra, que abordassem a técnica do reimplante ou implante dental após avulsão traumática, em seres humanos, sem restrição idioma e publicados até 2022. Excluindo-se cartas ao editor e textos de opiniões. Conclusão: A prática de reimplante dental apresenta poucas modificações com o passar dos anos, de acordo com esta revisão. Consiste em um tratamento de resgate, mesmo debruçado em uma avaliação clínica criteriosa e pautado em protocolos já estabelecidos pois, ainda não há um consenso sobre o reimplante na avulsão traumática. Por outro lado, os procedimentos referentes aos implantes, muitas vezes associados ao uso de materiais de enxertos e membranas, tem se apresentado como excelente opção na correção de perdas dentais.
