Avaliação dos tratamentos quimioterápicos utilizados na terapia de câncer colorretal: Uma revisão narrativa

Resumo

O câncer colorretal é a quarta neoplasia em número de mortes no mundo. Ela atinge milhares de pessoas, muitas vezes diagnosticado em estágio tardios, impossibilitando a cura. Portanto, busca-se adaptar-se os tratamentos já conhecidos, assim como, desenvolver novas formas de terapias. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi encontrar estudos recentes que buscaram avaliar as diferentes terapias utilizadas para câncer colorretal. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica, onde os artigos pesquisados foram buscados na base de dados Pubmed, utilizando palavras chaves. Resultados: Foram analisados vinte artigos para a construção da revisão. Conclusão: Dentre os estudos encontrados por essa revisão percebe-se que alguns possuem resultados bastante animadores em relação a novos tratamentos para câncer de colorretal, mas necessitam de um aprofundamento da pesquisa, aumentando, por exemplo, o número de participantes. O maior problema sobre o tratamento do câncer intestinal ainda é o diagnóstico tardio e a toxicidade/segurança das terapias utilizadas, sendo que alguns trabalhos deteram-se a pesquisá-las, tentando traças maneiras de diminuir os efeitos colaterais no paciente, melhorando seu bem-estar.
