SGLT-2i para a prevenção de eventos cardiovasculares em portadores com Diabetes mellitus tipo 2

Resumo

Objetivo: Abordar a utilização dos SGLT-2i para a prevenção de eventos cardiovasculares em portadores com diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, do tipo revisão integrativa da literatura. As buscas literárias ocorreram a partir de artigos indexados na SciELO, PubMed e MEDLINE, este último via BVS, no idioma em inglês entre 2017 a 2022 (últimos 5 anos). Para a realização das buscas, foram considerados termos em DeSC e MeSH em associação com operadores booleanos: (Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2) AND (Cardiovascular Diseases) AND (Prevention) AND (Sodium-Glucose Transporter 2 Inhibitors). Resultados: No geral, as análises dos estudos revelaram benefícios em diversos desfechos cardiovasculares. Os SGLT-2i reduziram ECAM, o composto de (morte cardiovascular e HIC), infarto do miocárdio não fatal, HIC ou IC, morte cardiovascular, morte por todas as causas, porém, sem eficácia nos eventos cerebrovasculares. Analisando os resultados cardiovasculares, foram descobertos proteção nos eventos renais, com diminuição na progressão da albuminúria, insuficiência renal e compostos renais. Verificando os subgrupos de pacientes, os SGLT-2i diminuíram vários eventos cardiovasculares principalmente nos indivíduos com IC, DCV, função renal reduzida e DRC, notando-se neste último, melhoras nos eventos renais. Comparações dos SGLT-2i versus outros agentes antidiabéticos realizaram-se, na qual se observaram menores riscos em diferentes eventos cardiovasculares e renais com os SGLT-2i. Conclusão: De fato, a prevenção em diversos desfechos cardiovasculares foi comprovada com os SGLT-2i nos portadores de diabetes mellitus tipo 2.
