Crescimento e diversificação em pequenas empresas: uma revisão sistemática de literatura

Resumo

Não se faz necessária uma minuciosa e abrangente busca nas bases de dados para se constatar que os estudos seminais acerca do crescimento da firma são focados e orientados pela ótica da grande empresa, portadora de estrutura organizada e hierarquia definida. Este contexto reforça a necessidade de ampliação do olhar acadêmico para a pequena empresa, a qual tem se tornado importante figura nas economias mundo afora. Composta em linhas gerais por gestões conservadoras no processo de crescimento, pequenos empreendedores diversificam seu portfólio de produtos e serviços com base em sua experiência e aprendizados prévios para garantir a subsistência de famílias, vidas. Desta forma, a presente Revisão Sistemática tem por finalidade viabilizar e fomentar o estudo de pequenas empresas buscando entender o que a literatura debate e apresenta acerca do crescimento de pequenas empresas com base na diversificação corporativa. Deste modo, pela utilização de palavras-chave em duas grandes bases de dados, foi possível verificar a evolução do conceito de crescimento ao longo do tempo, identificar diferentes componentes que influenciam o crescimento de pequenas empresas, bem como identificar diversos aspectos abordados pela literatura em relação à pequena empresa e sua respectiva expansão.
