Uso da tecnologia de reabilitação por terapeutas ocupacionais: uma revisão de escopo

Resumo

A Terapia Ocupacional é uma profissão da saúde que tem seu foco no desempenho de ocupações para a melhora da funcionalidade de um indivíduo. A terapia ocupacional ingressa atualmente na revolução digital, na qual Tecnologias de Reabilitação (TR), tais como a robótica e a realidade virtual, se fazem presentes na prática da reabilitação. O objetivo do estudo foi caracterizar como é utilizada a Tecnologia de Reabilitação na intervenção por terapeutas ocupacionais. Foi realizada uma revisão de escopo em periódicos nacionais e internacionais de terapia ocupacional, baseado no guia para revisão de escopo do Instituto Joanna Briggs e também foi utilizado o checklist do PRISMA- ScR para revisão de escopo. Foram incluídos 28 artigos e os resultados foram analisados quantitativamente para geração de gráficos e tabelas, bem como inseridos em um roteiro para coleta de dados qualitativos. Os resultados demonstram que a maior parte dos terapeutas ocupacionais utilizam a realidade virtual como TR, e que são mais utilizadas em pacientes adultos com Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), embora a TR possa ser utilizada tanto na reabilitação física como na saúde mental, em pacientes de qualquer faixa etária. Além de proporcionar momentos prazerosos na terapia, maior engajamento e motivação, diminuindo a fadiga do terapeuta e do paciente, o uso da TR apresentou benefícios terapêuticos, precisão em avaliações e ganhos de habilidades motoras e funcionais.
