Desenvolvimento, caracterização e avaliação por bioengenharia cutânea de uma emulsão natural, a fim de proporcionar uma base veicular padronizada para preparações magistrais tópicas

El uso de productos que contienen sustancias naturales y sostenibles ha mostrado un crecimiento notable en el mercado farmacéutico y cosmético, así como en la farmacia de compuestos. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo desarrollar, caracterizar y evaluar la bioingeniería cutánea de emulsiones naturales y sostenibles, proporcionando una base vehículo para las preparaciones tópicas. Se desarrollaron nueve emulsiones O/W cambiando la cera autoemulsionante no iónica (Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate, Cetearyl Glucoside (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Candelilla/Jojoba/Rice Bran Polyglyceryl-3 Esters (and) Glyceryl Stearate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate), con o sin el coemulsionante aniônico (Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate), con o sin el coemulsionante aniónico (estearoil glutamato de sodio). Se caracterizaron mediante pruebas preliminares de estabilidad, reología y estudio de estabilidad fisicoquímica acelerada. Se aprobaron cuatro formulaciones (FB1, FB2, FB3 y FB5), pero solo FB1 (Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate with Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate) se consideró estable, siendo seleccionada para la evaluación de la eficacia de conservación y para la bioingeniería cutánea. Se analizó la hidratación y pérdida de agua transepidérmica (TEWL) del estrato córneo comparándolo con una base de vehículo tópico convencional (Emulsifying Wax NF). El estudio clínico mostró que FB1 mejoró la hidratación de la piel sin cambios significativos para TEWL, pero mostró valores considerables. FB1 se puede clasificar como "amigable con la piel" y representa un vehículo natural y sostenible prometedor para las preparaciones farmacéuticas manipuladas.
