Efetividade de intervenções baseadas em Mindfulness sobre o abuso de substâncias

Resumo

Objetivando compreender os impactos do Mindfulness sobre pacientes acometidos por transtorno decorrente do uso de substâncias, este artigo buscou analisar os estudos existentes sobre o uso do mindfulness no tratamento de dependências químicas. Os resultados apontaram que o mindfulness pode ser eficaz no tratamento de dependências químicas, reduzindo o consumo de substâncias e controlando sintomas como ansiedade e depressão. No entanto, os resultados variam de acordo com o tipo de substância e o perfil dos pacientes. Os estudos revisados indicam que o mindfulness pode ajudar os pacientes a desenvolverem uma maior consciência emocional e a reduzir a reatividade ao estresse, o que pode ser particularmente benéfico para indivíduos que sofrem de transtornos de ansiedade ou depressão. Além disso, o mindfulness pode ajudar os pacientes a desenvolverem uma maior habilidade para lidar com emoções difíceis e a regular suas respostas emocionais. No entanto, há algumas limitações nos estudos revisados. A maioria deles é de curta duração e não avalia o impacto do mindfulness a longo prazo. Além disso, poucos estudos investigaram o impacto do mindfulness em pacientes com dependência de outras substâncias além do álcool e do tabaco. Em conclusão, o mindfulness parece ser uma ferramenta promissora no tratamento de dependências químicas. No entanto, mais pesquisas são necessárias para avaliar sua eficácia a longo prazo em pacientes com dependência de diferentes substâncias e com diferentes perfis. Isso poderia ajudar a melhorar a compreensão dos mecanismos de ação do mindfulness no tratamento da dependência química e a desenvolver abordagens terapêuticas mais eficazes.
