Tendências atuais na eficácia e segurança da Semaglutida no controle glicêmico de pacientes diabéticos: Revisão de literatura

Resumo

O presente tem como objetivo examinar as tendências atuais na eficácia e segurança da semaglutida no controle glicêmico de pacientes diabéticos, buscando embasamento teórico em bases de dados como SciELO, LILACS e PubMed. Foram selecionados 28 artigos nos últimos três anos, seguindo critérios de inclusão e exclusão definidos, seguindo a metodologia PRISMA. Os resultados indicaram que a semaglutida promoveu uma redução significativa nos níveis de glicose sanguínea em curto prazo, com valores de hemoglobina A1c menores em comparação com outros tratamentos. A segurança da droga foi amplamente reconhecida, tanto em sua forma subcutânea quanto oral, embora efeitos colaterais gastrointestinais, como náuseas e vômitos, fossem frequentemente relatados. Um destaque significativo foi a possível redução de eventos cardiovasculares adversos associados ao uso da semaglutida em pacientes diabéticos. Esta revisão buscou destacar a semaglutida como uma opção terapêutica eficaz e segura para o controle glicêmico em pacientes com diabetes tipo 2, com potencial benefício adicional na redução de complicações cardiovasculares.
