Condromatose Sinovial da Articulação Temporomandibular (ATM): Um relato de caso

A Condromatose Sinovial (CS) é uma condição benigna caracterizada pela formação de cartilagem metaplásica na membrana sinovial da articulação, resultando em numerosos corpos osteocartilaginososque podem se encontrar aderidos ou não, predominantemente se encontram no espaço intra-articular, porém também podem ser encontrados em regiões extra-articular. A CS afeta principalmente as grandes articulações sinoviais, especialmente joelho, quadril, cotovelo e tornozelo, enquanto o envolvimento da Articulação Temporomandibular (ATM) é raro. O objetivo deste artigo é mostrar que a exérese por cirurgia aberta da ATM é uma opção segura, estéticamente favorável, livre de rescidiva, desde que planejada e realizada de forma correta. Aqui apresentamos um caso de CS da ATM, diagnóstico realizado por sinais e sintomas clínicos associado a exames de Tomografia Computadorizada de face, Ressonância Magnética da ATM e tratamento por meio de exérese cirúrgica aberta.O caso clínico apresentado mostra como a cirurgia aberta contribui para remoção dos corpos osteocondrais de forma direta, permitindo uma exerese completa da CS de forma segura e com baixa incidência de sequelas motoras, sensoriais e estéticas para o paciente. Sem recidiva até o presente momento.
